Verse Of The Day : The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that does good. Psalms 14:1

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY : A fool is known by his or her irreverent actions toward God.

LISTEN : “Do not be a fool.” Says, a man to his only child. His child asked him, “Father, what do you mean by that?” He replied, “A fool is known by his or her irreverent actions toward God. So, be wise!” My dear, God is everywhere if you open your eyes to see. All of nature talks about Him. The sun, moon, stars, vegetation, water, land, etc; they all give evidence of His existence and reality. (Psalms 24:1). Nothing exists without the instrument of God’s power. Besides, no one is in this world by chance. We are all here by divine appointment. Beloved, you are in the world because God exists. But until our eyes are open we cannot truly see this truth. And until our hearts are open to spiritual understanding we will continue to quarrel with, and query our maker (Isaiah 45:9). My dear, it is the height of foolishness to quarrel with God. A fool expresses the height of his folly by ridiculously questioning God Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth. Beloved, if you are blind to the mighty works of God which is expressed in nature, then you are intentionally and regrettably blind. And if you cannot see God through His works in nature you cannot see Him in your life. My dear, do you think there is no God? That you came to existence by way of evolution? Or by chance? You err! To think or believe that there is no God is to embrace Satan’s lies. Friend, do not be fooled by godless philosophies of men. Truly, a natural man cannot think supernatural thoughts until he is dedicated to supernatural discovery. In the same way, a carnal person for lack of spiritual understanding will dispute the existence of God because his thoughts are corrupt, abominable and full of ignorance. Henceforth, acknowledge God and worship Him as God. So, do not be a fool like those who do not know God. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?

TOPIC : HOPE BEYOND THE EARTH

Thursday, May 14, 2020

Bible Verse : If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 1 Corinthians 15:19

LISTEN : Beloved, do you have hope beyond this world? Do you want to end here or be with God in eternity? My dear, nothing in this life lasts forever. Only the words of God and those who fear and honour Him will live beyond this present life. Therefore, you should learn to hope beyond this life by living in line with the will of God. We should not limit our hope in Christ to this present life. The Bible says, “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable” (1Cor. 15:19). Beloved, when you live just for what the world can offer, surely, you would be miserable hereafter. Therefore, learn to spend your time, energy, resources, etc, on things with eternal value. Always hunger for God, because anyone who will wish for a blissful future with God must learn to hunger for righteousness. (Matthew 5:6). So, if your life is not lived for God, then you have lived in vain. Beloved, remember to hope beyond this earth. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting Father, help me to put my trust in you and to hope beyond this life, in Jesus’ name, amen.
