Verse Of The Day : And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us. Acts 16:9

LISTEN : Satan has so blinded the eyes of people that, they don’t recognise the danger they are in. Lives are wasted everyday around the world because people chose Satan over God. They live their lives in favour of the so-called pleasure of the world. They’re lost because they don’t know Christ Jesus. However, God wants them to be saved. The Bible says, “since he wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one intermediary between God and humanity, Christ Jesus, himself human, who gave himself as a ransom for all, revealing God’s purpose at his appointed time.” (1Timothy 2:4-6). My dear, are you a believer in Christ Jesus? Do you accept Him as your Lord and Saviour? Are you born again by the power of the Holy Spirit? Then, you’re not permitted to ignore the lost. You’re not permitted to watch sinners go to hell. In his missionary journey. Paul received a vision of where (Macedonia) God was leading him to preach Christ. And he didn’t hesitate to move into action. The Bible says, And when he had seen the vision, straight away we made the decision to go into Macedonia, for it seemed certain to us that God had sent us to give the good news to them. (Acts 16:10). Brethren, have we not neglected the call to evangelism for a long time? Remember, when we don’t have keen interest to save the lost, we have lost our claim as followers of Christ Jesus. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?

TOPIC : THE GOODNESS OF GOD

Sunday, September 1, 2019

Bible Verse : The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. Psalms 145:9

LISTEN : God is good to all. His goodness is for all generations. My dear, God is truly good to all His creation. He is kind and compassionate towards us; He is disposed and ready to do us good at all times. He is the life of all. Without Him you have no life (Acts 17:25). There is not one of us whom He is not ready and willing to bless; or whose welfare He is not ready to promote. His goodness is to all (both the good and the bad). The Bible says, “And his tender mercies are over all his works” (Psalms 145:9). That is, in all that He has made, there is evidence that He is a kind and benevolent God. He has a heart to love and to bless what He has made (see Matt 5:45). He is gracious. He is not disposed to cast off the weak, the erring, and the suffering. He is willing to pardon, receive and restore the repentant, and to wipe away the tears of the brokenhearted. God’s goodness and mercy are ultimately demonstrated in Jesus Christ who tasted death for every man. His grace for every soul is free. My dear, no matter what happens, think of what God has done for you, and you will agree and declare that God is good to all. Henceforth, appreciate the goodness and love of God towards you. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, help me to appreciate your goodness as long as I live, in Jesus’ name, amen.
