Verse Of The Day: Just as it was in the days of Noah, so too it will be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage – right up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. Luke 17 : 26 – 27

LISTEN: Are we really watching and taking notes of what is happening around the world today? Does that not confirm the bible predictions of the end times? Are those occurrences not pointing to something serious that is about to take place in the world? (Matthew 24 : 3 – 46). But are we at all, living as if we perceive any danger? Of course not! Many are living with so much carelessness. Our world today like that of Noah’s days, is characterised by busyness, carelessness, inordinate merriment, lavished marriage ceremonies, festivity and godlessness. There is no fear of God or concern for eternity. In the days of Noah people lived carelessly before the great flood, and never thought that tragedy could truck at anytime. Their businesses and lives were going on as usual; people were getting married, giving their children in marriage and doing businesses the same way we do today. Festivities and ceremonies went on as usual, perhaps, in burial places, in clubs, in child naming ceremonies, in project or house dedications, etc. Obviously, life was just normal until the calamity struck and took the then world unawares.

Beloved, is that what you want today, to be taken unawares by God’s wrath? Of course not! God will always warn people of impending doom before punishing them for their evil. That was exactly what He did to the then world through Noah before He destroyed it but they would not obey; instead, they mocked him and refused to repent. They laughed him to scorn and ignored his warnings, just the same way most people do today to ministers of God and the gospel of Christ. Beloved, do you know that Noah was not the only man of his generation who heard about God? Were there not others who heard just like Noah but disregarded it. Noah got to know God because he developed intimacy with Him and trusted all His words to be true. Noah’s life was influenced by God because Noah established a relationship with Him. Through his closeness and obedience to God, both he and his family escaped the judgment of God by the flood. Beloved, do you know that Jesus Christ is coming soon, this time, not as the helpless baby and crucified Jesus, but as a judge? (Rev. 22:12; John 5:22) Are you ready for Him? If not, what are you waiting for? Hurry and turn away from your evil ways, then you will escape the wrath of God as Noah did.
