Verse Of The Day : For it is our desire that you may not be without knowledge of our trouble which came on us in Asia, that the weight of it was very great, more than our power, so that it seemed that we had no hope even of life. Yes, we ourselves have had the answer of death in ourselves, so that our hope might not be in ourselves, but in God who is able to give life to the dead. 2 Corinthians 1:8,9 (BBE)
LISTEN : We all encounter stress and pressure on a daily basis. And these stress and pressure tend to break us down. We often wonder if we could ever come out of the situations alive. Beloved, stress is a normal part of life. What then is stress? It’s the body’s reaction to any change that requires an adjustment or response. Our body reacts to these changes with physical, mental, and emotional responses. Stress comes from our environment, our body, and our thoughts. But the good news is that, you can deal with stress God’s way. My dear, you’re not the only one in this. In our verse of the day, Apostle Paul narrated their miseries and ordeals in cause of preaching the gospel. He added, “… the weight of it was very great, more than our power, so that it seemed that we had no hope even of life.”(v.8) Paul’s experience is the experience of lots of people today. There’s no hope left in them, because all hope to survive their situations is gone. Beloved, does that also characterised you? Is stress and pressure striving to snatch your life away? Please calm down! Stop looking downwards but look upwards. Paul continued, “… so that our hope might not be in ourselves, but in God who is able to give life to the dead.” (v.9). My dear, nothing is impossible to God. He can help you with your stress when you come to Him. So, here are two ways to deal with stress God’s way:
1). No matter the stress, make God your strength: stress can’t overwhelme you when God is your strength. Faith in God is the greatest antidote and cure for stress. Therefore, no matter what the source of stress is, your source of strength must be the Lord.
2). God’s availability and promises is the most effective stress reducers of all: you can survive stress and pressure when you’re conscious of the presence of God with you. When you acknowledge that you’re not alone, nothing can sink you. The promises of God are the anchor of our souls in times of troubles. When you know that God knows what you’re going through, you’ll cease to panic and begin to pray and praise Him instead. Be wise!

TOPIC : BE FULL OF FAITH
Bible Verse : I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
LISTEN : Beloved, be full of faith and be victory minded. Starting off your day in victory will make you never to recognise any form of impossibility. It will cause you to walk by faith and enjoy the dividends of faith. When your heart is full of faith, life is full of possibilities. Faith makes all things possible. Faith brings us up to where God is. The realm where God dwells is the realm of possibilities; and no one can access that realm without faith. The Bible says, “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” (Luke 1:37). Beloved, never lose hope in life or walk as some defeated folk; because where God is present everything is possible. So, cheer up! You can tap into such privilege of possibilities by faith in God. The Bible says, “… If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes.” (Mark 9:23). My dear, can you see that you can’t be limited by any circumstance if your faith is alive? Henceforth, no matter what you are going through, exercise faith and learn to say, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13). Besides, always lean on God and you’ll receive uncommon strength and ability to do what seems impossible. Be wise!
Prayer : Blessed Father, I thank you because you have given me strength for exploits. Help me to be victorious always, in Jesus’ name, amen.
