Verse Of The Day : As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:10
LISTEN : A story is told of a man whose life is characterised by busyness. He never had time for anyone, but only for his own businesses. His life was crowded with activities that he became so insensitive to the needs and plight of others. One day, he was travelling to a certain city, and was flagged down by a man who was wounded by armed robbers but escaped the armed robbery attack on the same road he was travelling on; but because he was a very busy man who never cares about others, he refused to stop but rather, accelerated his speed. Not quite a long distance from the point he was flagged down by the wounded man, the armed robbers attacked his car. As he was struggling to escape they shot him and he died. He would not have ended up that way if he had shown a little kindness to the wounded man. Beloved, are you like this man in today’s story? Are you so busy that you cannot stop to help others? Are you so engaged that the lives of others make no sense to you? (see Luke 10:25-37). My dear, if we cannot recognise an opportunity to help others, then we have made ourselves so insensitive to God’s mercy and kindness to us. It is good to be meaningfully busy with life, but we must not be too busy not to recognise an opportunity to help others. Yes! To be unreasonably busy with life is to be ungrateful to God. When what you do prevents you from doing what God expects of you, you are living your life at the expense of God. Be wise!
Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. No matter how busy you are, do not ignore opportunities to help others.
2. Do not allow what you do to prevent you from doing what God expects of you.
3. Do not close your eyes to the needs of others, instead, seize the opportunity to help them.
4. Shun laziness, be busy with your life, but do not be too busy for others.
Prayer : Compassionate and merciful God, you are good to me and the entire humanity. Therefore, do not allow me to be too busy to help others. Rather make me to help others no matter what, in Jesus’ name, amen.
Reflection : When what you do prevents you from doing what God expects of you, you are living your life at the expense of God.
Quote : “If we cannot recognise an opportunity to help others, then we have made ourselves so insensitive to God’s mercy and kindness to us.”

TOPIC : STOP WORRYING ABOUT YOUR PROBLEMS
Tuesday, September 25, 2018
Bible Verse : Cast your burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain you: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Psalms 55:22
LISTEN: My dear, are you worried about your problems? Is your heart broken because of challenges? Do you know God can help you sort it out? So, stop worrying about your problems and start trusting Him instead. When you worry, you will be unable to think or act normally. Worrying in the face of trouble makes you grow weak in faith. Besides, your courage will suddenly collapse. Beloved, be strong in faith. If you can grow your faith with the word of God, you can never be a victim of fear and worry. When Abraham was waiting for the child of promise (Isaac), it looks like waiting for an eternity, yet, he had to wait patiently. Not minding his age and that of his wife; he still believes that God is faithful to His word. (Romans 4:20,21). My dear, how strong is your faith? Do you know faith will keep you focused when the road is “rough and narrow.?” A person of faith never stops believing what God has promised. So, cast all your worries on God, because he cares for you. Yes he does! Never be distracted by circumstances, instead, have faith in God. (Jer 32:17,27). Whatever your situation is, learn to put your trust in God. Even when you cannot trace Him, yet, He is trustworthy. So, look to Him and be strong. Be wise!
1. Pray and bless God for His mercies, care and protection.
2. Confess your sin to God and ask for forgiveness.
3. Ask God to guide and protect your heart from fear and worry.
4. Pray and destroy all satanic plans against you and your family.
5. Pray for the church of God worldwide to catch revival fire for kingdom assignments.
Today I speak into your life, may God bless you and make you strong and courageous. I command the spirit of fear and worry out of your life now, in Jesus’ name, amen.
