Verse Of The Day: And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. Genesis 9:1

LISTEN: The blessing of God is the pathway to true success and prosperity. It is the foundation upon which sustainable generational blessing is built. God is the source of true blessing. Therefore, to neglect or abandon Him is to settle for misery and calamity. But when He is revered, honoured, adored, glorified and served as the true God that He is, He releases His unspeakable blessings. Beloved, God’s blessing travels in the direction of the obedient, faithful and humble in heart. His blessing is triggered when we follow His will. To receive His blessing we must not struggle to obey and follow His will. Disobedience to God is a sure way of losing or forfeiting His blessing. When God created the world, He empowered mankind and commanded His blessing on them. However, when sin was introduced through disobedience, man lost everything by reason of death.

Conversely, in the same world of disobedience and sin, Noah still received the blessings of God because He obeyed God and was loyal to Him when others were not. (Genesis 7 : 1). Hence, when God sent the flood He spared Noah and his household, but destroyed the wicked. (Genesis 7 : 7 – 24). Our verse of the day declares God’s faithfulness to Noah and his household in return for his faithfulness to God. The Bible says, ” And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.” (Genesis 9:1). Beloved, what you need for a turnaround in your life is a word from God. However, this special word of divine blessing cannot come until God is done proving you. God proved Abraham and blessed him at the end. (Genesis 22 : 1 – 12). He proved Joseph and blessed Him likewise. (Psalms 105: 17 – 19). He equally proved Zechariah as well and eventually blessed his patience. In the same way, if we can obey, serve and revere Him, He will bless us beyond measure.

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Be obedient and loyal to God if you must receive His blessing.
2. Determine to pass the test when God proves you at all times.
3. Resist sin and do not allow it to deny you the blessings of God.
4. Never again struggle with obedience to God, instead, obey Him willingly and joyfully.

Daily Task: Beloved, do not resist God in any way, instead, accept Him for a turnaround in your life, as you remember that divine blessing cannot come until God is done proving you.
