Verse Of The Day: So realize that the LORD your God is the true God, the faithful God who keeps covenant faithfully with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations. Deuteronomy 7:9

LISTEN: What is a covenant? A covenant according to the Bible is an agreement ratified by blood by a God who cannot lie or abandons His promises. It is the agreement between two parties. Here it is between us and God through Jesus Christ, as contained in the Scriptures and revealed to us. A story is told of a man who had an agreement with his boss that bears this clause, “In case of death, my benefits should go to my children, who will in turn transfer same to generations unborn.” Few years later, the man died and his boss hid the agreement from his children. He said, “He is dead now, he won’t know what is going on. I will keep his benefits to myself.” My dear, this is exactly what men can do, but God is different. He is a covenant keeping God. What He desires is just for you to obey, honour, worship, serve, trust and love Him with all your heart. God is faithful and merciful. He makes promises that generations yet unborn could still benefit from. My dear, obedience and faith in God are the protection and security of the righteous. Those who are faithful and obedient to Him will naturally receive His protection and provisions, for He will pay attention to their cry for help (Psalms 34:15). Friend, there is unspeakable privilege in serving God. It is our faith and loyal service to Him that attracts His mercy. But those who choose to disobey Him will forfeit their mercy; for no one can despise and disobey God and expects to enjoy His love and protection. Therefore, to enjoy God’s covenant benefits you must walk in obedience to Him. Be wise!

EVENING

TOPIC : I WILL TAKE REFUGE IN GOD

Monday, March 18, 2019

Bible Verse : Preserve me, O God: for in you do I put my trust. Psalms 16:1

LISTEN : To take refuge in God is to hide yourself in Him. When you hide yourself in God, the devil can only roar at you like the lion, but cannot devour you. God is a sure help in times of troubles. He will preserve those who hide themselves in Him. sadly, a lot of people do not appreciate God’s care, love, protection, provision, favour, etc, towards them. They take the grace of God for granted instead. They failed to understand that certain things are impossible to achieve without God’s grace. Beloved, do you ever sit down to take stock of your life? Don’t you think you are enjoying God’s grace but deliberately decided not to recognise and appreciate it? My dear, do not attributed all that you have just to your own efforts, smartness, abilities, wisdom, intelligence, etc. For the Bible says, “Every good and true thing is given to us from heaven, coming from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change or any shade made by turning.” (James 1:17). That includes protection. Therefore, hide yourself in God and you will be saved and provided for. Be wise!

Prayer : Eternal Father, preserve me for in you I put my trust, amen.
