Verse Of The Day : Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Philippians 4:4
LISTEN : Joy drives away depression. What is depression? It is low spirits from loss of hope or courage. It is to dwell in prolonged state of sadness. But the presence of joy buries sadness; and to be full of joy is to be full of life. However, you can’t enjoy this kind of joy without faith in God. Faith in God fills our hearts with joy even in moments of troubles. Joy is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, when our hearts are controlled by the Holy Spirit of God, joy will naturally flow into and through our hearts. Sometimes the ‘weight of trials’ will want to kill our joy, but if we remember who we are in Christ Jesus, joy will overflow. Beloved, if you can always remember how good God is to His people you will rejoice always. God is good all the times. He does great things to those who choose to walk with Him (Psalms 91:1-14). He is the source of supernatural strength and joy to those who put their trust in Him. Anyone who truly believes in God will always rejoice at all times. The joy of the LORD is the strength of the believer in times of troubles, pain, disappointment, heartbreak, hardship, sorrow, tribulations, crisis, rejection, persecution, etc. (Habakkuk 3:17,18). My dear, it is obvious that our hearts most times could be broken by tragedy and other ugly experiences, however, we can still find solace in the Lord. When sorrow seems to take the place of joy in your heart, resist it. No matter the reason for your heartbreak and sorrow, learn to rest in the power of God and do not allow sorrow to ruin your life. Instead, determine to make the joy of the Lord your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Beloved, you belong to God, therefore, rejoice always no matter what. Remember, joy drives away depression. Be wise!

TOPIC: TRUE WISDOM IS TO FEAR GOD
Bible Verse : And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding. Job 28:28
LISTEN : True wisdom is to fear God. As a matter of fact, God is happy and honoured when we fear Him and eschew evil. God loves us and wants us to love Him in return; and there is no better way to appreciate Him than to fear, obey, worship and honour Him. Sadly, people tend to fear men than fear God. The fear of God is fast disappearing from the hearts of men today. A higher percentage of younger people in the world are no longer interested in spiritual things, but rather in mundane things. They are not interested in God, but in material things and how to please their own body. Beloved, God created us and should be worshipped. So, where is the fear of God in your heart? If God is your creator, where is His honour? God was angry with the Israelites for their lack of fear and honour for Him. They were willing to fear men, than fear God. Beloved, do you know that human wisdom is measured by the fear of God? (Job 29:29 ; Pro 9:10). Anyone who lacks the fear of God is empty of real life. My dear, always examine your fear for God. How much fear and love do you have for Him? Are you putting His interest above yours? Or yours above His? Joseph, though, a slave boy in Potiphar’s house in Egypt, yet, demonstrated the fear of God when his master’s wife asked to sleep with him. He clearly refused and said, “…how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” (Gen 39:9). My dear, determine to honour and obey God always; and do not forget to fear Him and depart from evil. Remember, true wisdom is to fear God. Be wise!
Prayer : Heavenly Father. Help me to fear and honour you now and always. In Jesus ‘ name.
