Author : Bishop Julius Okarike
Verse Of The Day : For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite. Isaiah 57:15
LISTEN : Some months ago in this devotional, I said something about a certain church that was praying for revival, and after a couple of days, the prayer sessions became boring. As they gathered again to pray the following day, after a couple of minutes the pastor paused and ordered his congregation to pause the prayer. In curiosity they all stopped and opened their eyes expecting the pastor to give another prayer point. But tearfully, the pastor asked as he sobbed uncontrollably, “Are we really prepared for revival? Are we not tired of spiritual dryness, dormancy and stagnation? Are we really hungry for spiritual reawakening? Brethren, are we not tired of this shameful state of ours, with no hunger for God?” As he speaks on, the congregation broke into tears and the atmosphere changed and the glory of God came down in the service. In the same way, we pray for revival without having a heart for it. Every believer needs revival, because with revival we can do much more for God as long as we live. However, this cannot be achieved unless we hunger and continue to hunger for more of Him. Beloved, revival is the way back to our spiritual liveliness. We should express genuine repentance to experience true revival. (Isaiah 57:15). Truly, revival will renew our relationship with God. (Luke 15:21–24 ; Isaiah 55:7). When revival happens, love for God will be reawakened, passion for God’s word and His church will come alive (Acts 17:11–12 ; 2 : 44–47) ; people will be convicted of sin, and our faith will deepen and our eyes opened to fresh truth. Henceforth, let us ask for, and be desperate for revival when we discover a slack in our relationship with God. Be wise!

TOPIC : PUT ON THE MIND OF CHRIST
Bible Verse : You must put away every kind of bitterness, anger, wrath, quarreling, evil, and slanderous talk. Instead, be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you. Ephesians 4:31,32
LISTEN: The life of Christ is the life of God. It is a lifestyle created after the image of God. It is a kind of life that the unbelieving world has rejected, resented and hated, because it comes with great responsibility. It is a kind of life that is lived to please God by eschewing evil and sin. It is a life of sacrifice, commitment and dedication to the almighty God. Without putting on the life of Christ, which in other words is the new life, we cannot serve God acceptably. The bible says, “I plead to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that all of you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be all of you transformed by the renewing of your mind…”(Romans 12:1,2).Beloved, living the life of Christ is to live with a renewed mindset dominated by love, forgiveness, compassion, righteousness, holiness and the likes. Putting on the life of Christ comes with a change of attitude, from the old to the new. Therefore, let us put away evil lifestyles and put on the life of Christ – love, peace, gentleness, purity, mercy, compassion, and to forgive others the same way Christ forgave us. Be wise!
1. Bless the name of God for His love and grace to you today.
2. Ask Him for forgiveness and grace to restore fellowship with you.
3. Pray for the sick, oppressed and afflicted.
4. Pray and cancel all Satanic activities in your life and thank God for answer to prayer.
A WORD OF BLESSING
It is well with you. Today, I prophesy to you, may the grace to live in line with the will of God be given to you, in Jesus’ name, amen.
