Verse Of The Day: Rebuke not an elder, but implore him as a father; and the younger men as brethren; The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity. 1 Timothy 5:1-2

LISTEN: Love, respect and understanding are the soil in which successful relationship is grown. People should be treated with love and respect. That’s what you owe others. The Bible says, “Pay everyone what is owed: taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due. Owe no one anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.” (Romans 13:7-8). We’re commanded to respect others and live in peace with one another. We should not encourage disrespect and contempt for others. When you disrespect, despise and have contempt for others you disrespect the commandment of God. My dear, receive everyone with love and a sense of dignity. They’re God’s creation too, and should be highly esteemed. Create atmosphere for love, respect, acceptance and unity. Never insult or disrespect an elder, or despise a younger person, instead, see everyone with the eyes of God. Honour both the great and the small. Our Bible verse says, “Rebuke not an elder, but implore him as a father; and the younger men as brethren; The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.” (1Timothy 5:1-2). Here, Apostle Paul urged Timothy and the church of God in His care to live in harmony with others, and to respect one another. He warned that, elders should not be treated with disrespect. In the same way, as God fearing people, we should heed God’s command; and with all sincerity and purity, respect others and live in peace with others. Be wise!

TOPIC : GOD: THE GREATEST DELIVERER

Friday, August 23, 2019

Bible Verse : Deliver me from my distress; rescue me from my suffering! Psalms 25:17

LISTEN : God is the greatest deliverer. He delivers the oppressed, the hopeless, the afflicted, and all manner of people in any kind of unpleasant situations. There’s nothing impossible with Him. He is a wonder-working God. His ears are itching to hear our distress call. He is pleased when you call Him for help in your time of trouble. So never give up no matter what. Instead, pray like David did in our verse of the day. David in the midst of his afflictions cried to God and said, “Deliver me from my distress; rescue me from my suffering” (Psalms 25:17). In his troubles he cried out to God in faith, God delivered him. His prayer was not rejected or despised, and therefore, he joyfully declared, “Surely he rescue me from all troubles, and I triumph over my enemies.” (Psalms 54:7). My dear, are you in some form of danger or distress? Are you in need of deliverance? Then, cry to the LORD today and He will hear your cry and deliver you. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting Father, you are the greatest deliverer. Deliver me from my troubles, in Jesus’ name, amen.
