Verse Of The Day : When I refused to confess my sin, my whole body wasted away, while I groaned in pain all day long. Psalms 32:3
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY : A hardened heart and unconfessed sin plunge the entire body into avoidable misery.
LISTEN : “I am dying! My heart is overwhelmed by guilt. I will confess my sin no matter what comes out of it; I will be better off than dying in silence. I prefer clear conscience to guilty conscience”, says a man to his fellow criminals. My dear, this is very true of us today. Unconfessed sin places unnecessary load on the mind. It destroys ability of the conscience to be sensitive and tender. It hardens the heart against God. Beloved, determine to live always with a clear conscience (1 Peter 3:16). Guilt is too much of a heavy load to be carried about in the journey of life. Guilt comes as a result of failing to do the right thing. It is to one’s harm to be aware of one’s wrong and pretends not to be aware of it. When you are guilty of an offense, you would discover that, you have lost your confidence and suddenly becomes a prisoner of conscience until you confess your wrong and obtain forgiveness. When you confess your wrong doings to God, and ask forgiveness from the one you have offended, you would receive freedom and healing for your wounded conscience. To confess is to admit that, you have done something wrong or illegal. When David sinned against God and humanity, he was tormented by the guilt of his sin when he refused to confess it. God punished him severely for his evil. However, when he confessed and asked for forgiveness he received mercy and emotional freedom (1 John 1:9). My dear, you can do same today! Have you done something that is troubling your heart right now? Is your conscience unsettled? Please, look for someone you can trust and share your burdens with him or her. I assure you, it will ease the pain of guilt in your heart. So, whatever wrong that is troubling your conscience, confess it to God and seek forgiveness today. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Throw all your worry on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
LISTEN : Do you know God cares about you? My dear, God truly cares about you. We do not serve a God who is inconsiderate and insensitive to the sufferings of His people; rather, we are serving the God who is caring and loving. The God who feels the pain and needs of His people. He created us for His own glory, and therefore will sustain us. Beloved, because God created us and gives us life daily, let him also take care of all the things that we are worried about. Why should I doubt God’s ability to meet my needs, fix my problems and better my life when I know He created me with no mistakes? My dear, God cares about you as much as He cares about me. So, if I know God cares about me, what should I do? I should have faith in Him, quit worrying myself, trust His promises, determine never to give up on Him, refuse to fear or faint in the face of troubles, and wait patiently for Him. Friend, why worry when you have God’s shoulders to lean on? Why destroy your life when you can trust God for intervention? Therefore, throw all your worry on him, because he cares for you. Be wise!
Prayer : Blessed Father, thank you for you are caring and loving. Therefore, I will trust and serve you always, amen!
