Verse Of The Day : Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 7:21

LISTEN : It is not enough to call Jesus Christ LORD, LORD; even Judas Iscariot did same but betrayed Him later on. God is looking for true worshippers, not pretenders. He is looking for genuine disciples, not eye-service folks. My dear, it is very easy to call someone your master, but difficult to serve as a servant. People hate to serve, but loves to be served. (Matthew 20:25-28). Loyalty is not in what you say, but in what you do. He who claims to love God must prove it by his act of obedience and loyalty to Him. In our verse of the day Jesus Christ says to his audience, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 7:21). Everyone can sing, “I love you Lord”, but not everyone can act in accordance with the song. Jesus’s statement in the above bible verse calls for concern. The statement reveals that, not all churchgoers will be saved when Christ will return to the earth; not all who cast out demons in the name of Jesus Christ will be saved; not all who prophesied in the name of Jesus Christ will be saved in the end; not all who do miracles in his name will inherit the kingdom of God: not all who do mighty works in his name will be saved, etc (see Matthew 7:22-23). Beloved, be serious with God, so that you don’t end up wasting your time, deceiving yourself and destroying your life. Henceforth, be real in your service to God and always be conscious of eternity. Remember, it is not enough to call Jesus Lord Lord, it is all about pleasing Him. Be wise!

TOPIC : GROW IN LOVE FOR GOD

Sunday, April 5, 2020

Bible Verse : I will love you, O LORD, my strength. Psalms 18:1

LISTEN : Grow in love for God. Yes, God is our creator and should be loved above all else. His desires for us is to love Him. Unfortunately for some of us, our greatest love is on something or someone else. My dear, what is it that consumes your heart? Is it the desire to love God or to love the world? In our Bible verse, David’s ultimate desire was to love God. Like David, can you declare your love for God today? Can your family declare her love and loyalty to God? Can you boldly and genuinely say, “I will love you O LORD?” God is pleased when His creation acknowledged Him as their strength. He is happy when we love Him above all else. Beloved, your love for God is measured by what you’re willing to sacrifice to gain Him: it is measured by how much you can obey and serve Him. Our love for God is complete when we no longer resist Him, but joyfully serve, obey, trust and follow His will without excuses. Like David, let’s love the LORD and trust Him as our strength; because when the LORD is our strength, victory is guaranteed. Be wise!

Prayer : Heavenly Father, help me to love you always as long as I live, amen.
