Verse Of The Day: And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. Mark 1:35

LISTEN: Spending time with God is the delight of the godly. Time with God opens our eyes to his will and keep us from evil and errors. Time spent with God is a worthwhile investment. Time with God can never be lost or wasted. Spending time with God should be the yearning of our hearts. Sadly, many spend their lives daily without having quality time with God. They do not have time to commune with him in prayer, personal bible study, meditation, etc. Besides, they have no regard for his will. They have little or no time for him. They seem to have forgotten that we are humans. And that we are created by God, and capable of dying. They forgot the fact that we are nothing without God; and that we need to spend quality time with him to experience the best of him. Beloved, do you know that failing to spend time with God will amount to failing to fulfill your God-given purpose?

Our purpose on earth is to fulfill God’s purpose. Hence, failing to do that will mean a waste of our lives on earth. Therefore, do not allow your business, relationship, academic pursuit, finances, family issues, etc. to come between you and your God. Even in the midst of your tight schedule, do not fail to make out quality time for your creator. No matter how busy you are, always have time for God. Jesus Christ was busy while he was in the world. He worked round the clock (Acts 10 :38), yet, had quality time to spend with God, his Father. He was not too busy for God. The bible says,” And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.” (Mark 1:35). Beloved, Jesus never failed to pray no matter his engagements, business, etc. He knows how to commune with his Father in prayer before going about, or retiring from the activities of the day. (See Matthew 14 : 23). My dear, never neglect to have time with God no matter what. Time with God will shape your future, correct your inordinate behaviour, direct your steps, warn you against evil, give you access to God, give your life a meaning and save your soul. Think about it.
