Verse Of The Day : Blessed is the man that endures temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love him. James 1:12

LISTEN : What you can overcome is determined by what you can endure. That is, your capacity to endure temptation or trials will produce a champion in you. Yes, trials mature your faith and strength (Romans 5:2-5). There is no deserved reward without labour. Therefore, to be rewarded you must go through test and be qualified to receive the crown God has reserved for those who love Him. My dear, The crown of life is not for cowards, but for the brave. It is for those whose faith in Christ is from start to finish. Sadly, we tend to worry when trials come. And it becomes worse when the situation refuses to change, and hope gradually fades away. At this point, desperation heightens. And because of this, we tend to behave rashly or go extreme in trying to achieve our aims. In desperation, regrettable decisions and actions are taken, and life becomes more miserable than it really was. My dear, be careful when hope seems to fade away. Be careful when situation pushes you real hard. If you don’t watch your thoughts when you are desperate, you might end up in the hands of the devil. Beloved, when you are in a precarious state, learn to look unto God and not to your situations. Listen to the voice of God and not to the imaginations of your heart; and follow divine directions. Yes, you can’t miss your way when you follow divine directions (Proverbs 3:5,6). So, when you are in trouble and the situation seems hopeless, stay calm and hopeful. No matter what, don’t take your eyes off God. If your eyes are on God your case is settled. Be wise!

TOPIC : WHERE IS THE FEAR OF GOD?

Tuesday, March 17, 2020

Bible Verse : Honor all men, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king. 1 Peter 2:17

LISTEN : Where is the fear of God? My dear, our fear of God should both come from our hearts and our mouths. Our responsibility to God is to love and fear Him dearly. And this we should do by obeying his commandments. Jesus Christ said to His disciples, “If you love me, you will obey my commandments.” (John 14:15). There are consequences for refusing to love and obey God. God will not ignore our disobedience forever, He will certainly visit and reward all our actions. The bible says, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” (Ecclesiastics 12:13). Therefore, let us walk in the fear of God. The fear of God in our lives will translate to love and respect for others. We can never love God and hate our fellow men. When we love God it challenges us to care about the well-being of others. So, let us fear God from our hearts and love others as we love ourselves. In everything you do, ask yourself, ‘where is the fear of God?’ Be wise!

Prayer : Heavenly Father, help me to love and fear you from my heart as long as I live, amen.
