Verse Of The Day : Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6

LISTEN : The hunger to know God should keep us restless and unfulfilled until we achieve it. We are empty until we are filled with the knowledge of God. When we hunger for God and pursue after His will, He will fill our empty souls and bless our lives. Hunger, (a very great need for food, and an uncomfortable feeling in the stomach that is caused by the need for food), is a major indicator of the need of our body. Hunger indicates that the body needs food, and we quench this uncomfortable feeling in the stomach by supplying the needed food. Amazingly, the moment we have eaten our fill, the hunger suddenly disappears and our energy is subsequently restored. Surely, nothing will make sense to us when hunger is biting hard. Sadly, our flesh is regularly yearning just for physical food, while our spirit dies daily for lack of spiritual food – the word of God. Our body constantly craves for sin and lust after evil, yet, we are not prepared to change ‘our taste’ to line up with the will of God. Beloved, to please God you must change ‘your taste’ from living to please your flesh, to living to please God (Colossians 3:1-2). You should seek after righteousness, holiness, godliness and the will of God. In a world where people are comfortable with sin, you should stand with God no matter what. God blesses those who hunger for Him. Our Bible verse says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.” (Matthew 5:6). This means that how much we desire to please God will determine how much He can satisfy our empty souls. Therefore, let us reject the unfruitful works of darkness and follow after righteousness to experience God’s power in our lives. Be wise!

EVENING

TOPIC : GOD LOVES US

Sunday, November 11, 2018

Bible Verse : For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

LISTEN: God’s love for us is beyond compare. No one loves the world (mankind) like God who created the heaven and the earth. God’s love for the world (us) took Jesus Christ to the cross. God gave him up willingly for us to be saved. (Romans 8:32). Jesus Christ bore the weight of our sins on the cross because God loves us. Our well-being was His concern when He puts on Jesus Christ the sin of us all. Jesus died to save and bring us back to God. His death brings us spiritual and bodily healing (Isaiah 53:5). God loves us even when we rejected and hated Him; because He is not like human, He loves even the unlovable. The love of God is agape, the God kind of love. God’s kind of love bothers itself with the welfare of others and cares to assist unconditionally. Beloved, in Christ, God gave His all. He loved us and still loves us in spite of our sins and misdeeds. Therefore, it will be unfair to reject his love which He demonstrated in Christ Jesus. His love for us cost Him the very life of His Son, and through Jesus Christ, He gives us assurance of eternal life when we believe and stand with Him to the very end. (John 3:16). My dear, Jesus Christ died because He loves you, therefore, you should love God because Jesus Christ died for you and me. Remember, not to love Him is to refuse to appreciate and reciprocate His love for you. Be wise!

PRAYER POINTS :
1. Bless God for today no matter what.
2. Ask God for forgiveness, and grace to follow His will.
3. Pray for grace to acknowledge God’s love to you.
4. Intercede for believers in Christ around the world for grace to love God.
5. Pray against spiritual wickedness, and ask God to protect you.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
Today I prophesy to you, may you acknowledge the love of God. May the Lord show you the path of life and order your steps in the right direction, in Jesus’ name, amen.
