Verse Of The Day: My times are in your hand, deliver me from the hand of my enemies; and from them that persecute me. Psalms 31:15

LISTEN: Do you believe that God can protect and preserve you from evil? Do you also hope to see good in this life? Then, you must know that to experience good, you should expect good. Similarly, to experience life you should expect life. Those who give up too soon on life later or sooner will realise that they contributed to their own downfall and misfortunes. Beloved, you should know that we belong to God and we do not own ourselves, rather God does. We came from Him and to Him we shall all go. Our lives are in His hands. (Psalms 24 : 1). He created everyone for a purpose. Whatever we are created to accomplish on earth, we can achieve them if we rely on God’s faithfulness. Beloved, you are created for God’s purpose. Therefore, no matter what happens, nothing can change the purpose of God. God is the one who determines our destiny. The events of our lives are under his control. Anyone who believes in Him cannot be frustrated by circumstances of life. Beloved, your life is not an accident to Him, or are you in control of your own life or the lives of others, but God is. Then it is a show of foolishness to behave in a way that suggests that you have taken the place of God in deciding the events of the lives of others. If we know that our lives are in the hands of God, we cannot afflict, kill, maim, persecute, destroy or do all manner of evil to others.

No doubt, people engage in making life miserable for others. They put others under undeserved pressures and inhuman treatment. They do not care about the feelings of others, or regard the voice of conscience. They derive joy in making life miserable for others. Beloved, no matter the situation, you should believe that God will not give you over to the enemy. David was under such pressure when he wrote this psalm. However, he said, ” My times are in your hand” (v.15). Although he was going through afflictions in the hands of his enemies, yet he believes that God has the final say in his life. David believes that God was in full control of the events of his life; as a result, no danger can happen to him without God’s foresight. He knows that God sees what is prepared for, or meditated against him. He was sure that God will deliver him from his enemies. (Psalms 17 : 8 , 9). Beloved, in the same way, know that God will deliver you; for your life is not in the hands of your enemies. No matter what you are going through, the LORD will keep you from evil because your life is in His hands and not in the hands of the wicked. So, learn to say this, “The Lord will preserve and protect me.”
