Verse Of The Day : A friend loves at all times… Proverbs 17:17

LISTEN : You won’t know your true friends until you face some troubles. Couple of months ago I told a story about a wealthy man who watched his children come home everyday with their friends to eat and merry. One day, the man gathered his children and asked them, “My children, who are these people you always come back home with?” They answered cheerfully, “They’re our friends.” “Your friends?” Asked the man. “Yes father!” They replied. Furthermore, the man said, “My children, you won’t know a true friend until you have a need, or find yourself in trouble. So, be careful and allow difficult times to show you your true friends.” Few months later things became difficult for the family. And the man waited to see the friends of his children as usual, but none came around, except one of them who kept coming and helping them out with some needs. One day, as the same boy visited, the man gathered his children again and asked them, “Children, where are those your friends?” And they tearfully replied, “They’re all gone, except this one here with us.” He smiled and said, “Children, remember I told you that, you’ll know your friends in times of troubles and need?” Pointing to the boy who visited them he said, “This is your true friend. Please don’t lose him!” My dear, we have seen this happened to us or people we know. Those who claim to be our friends turned out to be fake. They came into our lives with ulterior motives. They came just for what they’ll gain and not what they will offer. They’re friends just in good times alone, but enemies in hard times. Beloved, be a worthy friend! The Bible says, A friend loves at all times.” (Proverbs 17:17). Friendship is good, because it gives you the opportunity to help and be helped, and to love and be loved. But when friendship is limited to good times alone, relationship will end when hard time appears. So, determine to be a friend who loves at all times. Be wise!

TOPIC : GOD RULES LET’S FEAR HIM

Friday, December 6, 2019

Bible Verse : Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. (Ecclesiastics 12:13).

LISTEN : God rules, therefore, fear Him. Our fear of God should both come from our hearts and our mouths. My dear, your responsibility to God is to love and fear Him dearly. And this you should do by obeying his commandments. Jesus Christ said to His disciples, “If you love me, you will obey my commandments.” (John 14:15). There are consequences for refusing to love and obey God. God won’t ignore our disobedience forever, He’ll certainly visit and reward all our actions. The bible says, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” (Ecclesiastics 12:13). Therefore, let us walk in the fear of God. The fear of God in our lives will translate to love and respect for others. We can never love God and hate our fellow men. When we love God it challenges us to care about the well-being of others. So, let us fear God from our hearts and love others as we love ourselves. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting Father, I know you rule in heaven and earth. Therefore, help me to fear you always, amen.
