Verse Of The Day : In all hard work there is profit, but merely talking about it only brings poverty. Proverbs 14:23

LISTEN : God rewards diligent hard work. He loves dedication to work but hates laziness and procrastination. The lazy walks to his own hurt as the diligent increases in benefits. My dear, it is not possible to work hard until you are determined to succeed. Couple of months ago, I told a story about a successful man who goes by the nickname, ‘Talk and do’ who was asked why he chooses to be addressed by that name. He said, “By experience I’ve come to realize that, nothing is achieved by merely talking about it. Success is achieved by taking necessary and timely actions, and spending time in diligent hard work. That’s what I do, and that’s why I chose the name, ‘talk and do.’ ” My dear, diligence is vital to success. This means that, God rewards diligent hard work. Again, it means that, success doesn’t come by mere wish, but by quality, intentional and carefully directed efforts toward your goals. A task that must produce result must be done with diligence (Proverbs 22:29). Anyone who’s diligent in what he or she does won’t fail to be successful. What does it mean to be diligent? It means to perform something with intense concentration, focus and responsible regard. When you give yourself completely to what you do, surely you’ll achieve your goal. Beloved, believe it or not, one of the best ways to use your time is to do one thing at a time, and to do it well, giving it your full focus. You can’t achieve success with a broken focus. And until you give yourself completely to your goal, you can’t get to the top of the ladder of your pursuit. So, stop talking and go into action. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Learn to do one thing at a time, and do it well by giving your full focus.
2. Learn to work hard and do it diligently knowing that, you have a good reward.
3. Don’t merely wish for success, rather, work purposefully for it.
4. Remember that, success doesn’t come by mere wish, but by intentional and carefully directed efforts toward your goals.

Prayer : Heavenly Father, I thank you for your words today. Help me to work hard and give my full focus to what you’ve called me to do. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Reflection : Success doesn’t come by mere wish, but by purposeful actions.

Quote : “He who has a good plan but merely talks about it instead of taking necessary actions will end up a failure.”

Biblical Fact : Did you know the three sons of Noah that came out of the Ark were Shem, Ham and Japheth. (Genesis 9:18).

Bible Verse : My flesh trembles for fear of you. I am afraid of your judgments. Psalms 119:120

LISTEN : The wise fears God. Lack of fear of God frustrates destiny. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. His fear keeps us from His wrath. Those who fear God are wise, and can’t attract His wrath. God should be revered and praised in all the earth. His presence should instill awe in us. There is none like Him in all the earth in power, glory, might, holiness, greatness, wisdom, etc. His faithfulness is for all generations of those who fear Him. Those who know the Lord trembles at His presence in reverential fear. Not just because He can kill, but because He is good. They bow and worship at His feet for there is none like Him in power and authority. In our bible verse of the day the Psalmist said, “My flesh trembles for fear of you. I am afraid of your judgments.” (Psalms 119:120). Truly, the righteous knows that God’s judgment on sin is fierce, and therefore will do everything possible to avoid it. My dear, God doesn’t play with sin, therefore, we should avoid it. Henceforth, let us serve Him in fear and honour, and He will bless us. Be wise!

Prayer : Heavenly Father, I thank you for the blessings of your word. Help me to fear and honour you for the rest of my life. Amen.
