Verse Of The Day : Let the peace of Christ be in control in your heart (for you were in fact called as one body to this peace), and be thankful. Colossians 3:15 (NET)

LISTEN : Peace is priceless and vital to life. Loss of peace of mind is a disaster. Everyone is in need of peace and often looks for it in wrong places. God is the source of true peace. As a matter of fact, no one can experience the peace of God until he or she is prepared to follow God’s will. Most times, we lose the peace of God in our lives because we choose worry over faith. No one worries and expects to have peace of mind. Worry robs people of peace of mind and create more problems than they already have. But when we trust and obey God, we surrender our hearts to Him and His presence will produce His peace in our hearts, and affect our relationship with others. Beloved, if you don’t have peace of mind, you can’t live in peace with others. If you don’t have peace you can’t give peace to others. God calls us to be peaceful. And to achieve this, we must be positive-minded. This is why our Bible verse today ends with the statement, “And be thankful.” (Colossians 3:15b). When you’re thankful for everything, you can never lose the peace of God in your heart. My dear, allow the peace of God to rule in your heart. Life will be a living hell if peace is dead in your heart. My dear, the solution to your lack of inner peace is the peace of God. So, let the peace of God rule in your heart today and your life will soar in the glory of God. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Hezekiah was stricken with a terminal illness. He prayed to the LORD, who answered him…But Hezekiah was ungrateful; he had a proud attitude… . 2 Chronicles 32:24-25

LISTEN : Let’s be grateful to God in everything. Countless times we have been ungrateful to God like Hezekiah. Hezekiah was mortally sick and prayed to God and God healed him. Sadly, he took God’s mercy for granted. He was ungrateful to Him. He failed to thank God for His mercy, instead he was proud in his heart. He esteemed lightly the mercy of God. And the consequences of his action was the wrath of God upon him and his people. The Bible says, “But Hezekiah was ungrateful; he had a proud attitude, provoking God to be angry at him, as well as Judah and Jerusalem.” (2 Chronicles 32:25). Beloved, are you really grateful to God for all He has done for you? Do you have a grateful heart? A grateful heart will surely attract the favour of a great God. Your gratitude to God will determine what He’ll do, or not do for you. As you read this devotional today, pause for a moment and reflect on the goodness of God and give thanks to Him for all He has done for you, for others, and ultimately for our salvation and hope of eternal life. Be wise!

Prayer : Almighty God, you’re so good to me. Help me to honour you for all you have done for me, in Jesus’ name, amen!
