Verse Of The Day: So realize that the LORD your God is the true God, the faithful God who keeps covenant faithfully with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations. Deuteronomy 7:9

LISTEN: God never fails, and His covenant is sure. When He enters into a covenant with anyone, He never disappoints like man (Numbers 23:19; Titus 1:2). What is a covenant? A covenant according to the Bible is an agreement ratified by blood by a God who can’t lie or abandons His promises. It’s the agreement between two parties. Here it’s between us and God through Jesus Christ, as contained in the Scriptures and revealed to us. A story is told of a man who had an agreement with his boss that bears this clause, “In case of death, my benefits should go to my children, who will in turn transfer same to generations unborn.” Few years later, the man died and his boss hid the agreement from his children. He said, “He is dead now, he won’t know what is going on. I will keep his benefits to myself.” My dear, this is exactly what men can do, but God is different. He is a covenant keeping God. What He desires is just for you to obey, honour, worship, serve, trust and love Him with all your heart. God is faithful and merciful. He makes promises that generations yet unborn could still benefit from. My dear, obedience and faith in God are the protection and security of the righteous. Those who are faithful and obedient to Him will naturally receive His protection and provisions, for He will pay attention to their cry for help (Psalms 34:15). Friend, there’s unspeakable privilege in serving God. It’s our faith and loyal service to Him that attracts His mercy. But those who choose to disobey Him will forfeit their mercy; for no one can despise and disobey God and expects to enjoy His love and protection. Therefore, to enjoy God’s covenant benefits you must walk in obedience to Him. Remember, only God can establish a covenant of truth. Be wise!

TOPIC : THE WAY OF PEACE

Bible Verse : Righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a disgrace to any people Proverbs 14:34

LISTEN : The way of righteousness is the way of peace. My dear, shun sin and pursue righteousness. God blesses us when we walk in line with His will (Matthew 6:33). When we walk in obedience to His word, He sets us on high, raises us up from the dungeon, and brings us into a large place. But when we walk in disobedience to His will, we’re sure to be disgraced and destroyed. Beloved, we’re created in the image and likeness of God. We’re to be fruitful and multiply and have dominion over the earth (Genesis 1:27,28). Sadly, this authority and blessings were lost because of sin (disobedience) by Adam and Eve (Genesis 3). The consequences of their sin was lost of authority and the right to live forever. They ate just a fruit but lost an entire garden of glory. That’s what sin could do to anyone who chooses to live outside the will of God. Righteousness exalts, but sin brings reproach. Humanity was dragged into shame and sorrow because righteousness was undermined. Beloved, pursue righteousness and abstain from sin. Jesus Christ has paid the price for your sin. Today, those who will keep a right standing with God will be saved and gloriously rewarded. Righteousness brings promotion ; and true promotion will locate us when we live to please God. My dear, learn to say no to sin and never compromise your integrity; for sin will reduce a man to nothing, and deny him of God’s blessings. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting Father, thank you for your words today. Help me to walk in faith and righteousness, in Jesus’ name, amen.
