Verse Of The Day: Whoso keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles. Proverbs 21 : 23

LISTEN: Beloved, do you have control of your tongue (mouth)? Do you know that your tongue is divinely designed to be a life-giving, and not a life threatening instrument to God and mankind? Do you also know that until you guard your tongue and put it to a wise use you will expose yourself to danger and disaster? Beloved, wise people know when to talk and when to keep silent. They live by self-control not by their impulses. They are not controlled by their negative feelings but by proven principles from the word of God. They understand very well that careless talks equals a careless end. My dear, your word is as important as you are. You could be taken serious or unserious by your words. Wise people are careful with their words. They are not ignorant of the consequences of reckless words. Do you know that your words can keep or kill you? That it can bless or curse you? Justify or condemn you? Jesus Christ said, ” For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Matthew 12 : 37). Beware! Because to be reckless with your words is to endanger your life. Those who have loosed mouths are not safe; they are vulnerable to the enemy’s attacks.

So learn to be wise with your words. Our verse of the day says, ” Whoso keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles.” (Proverbs 21 : 23). Unfortunately, too many people talk carelessly to their own destruction. They say things they cannot defend about others; things that are too high for them. They do not know when to talk and when to keep silent. But Jesus Christ in the bible verse above warns us to guard our mouths against wrong use of words. Beloved, if you cannot manage your words you cannot manage your life. If you are still struggling with the control of your tongue, then you are breeding on dangerous waters. Keep your mouth and you will live; let it loose and you will be doomed. (see Proverbs 18 : 21). Henceforth, make your tongue a life giving, instead of life threatening or destroying instrument to God and man.
