Verse Of The Day : I sought the LORD’s help and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Psalms 34:4

LISTEN : A man stumbled on a certain man who was bearing his chin with his hand. He appeared so depressed and dejected. The man who stumbled on him walked past him and watched him from a distance for over one hour. He came back to the depressed man and said, “My dear, I have been watching you for sometime now. And I am wondering what could keep you in this mood for such a long time.” The depressed man was silent with his hand still in his chin. The concerned man asked again and again to know what his problem was, but he refused to say a word. As he was leaving, he said to the depressed man, “My dear, if you like, worry from now till the end of life, you can’t benefit anything from it, but I’m sure you will lose and continue to lose until you lose your life. So, put aside your worries and set your sails. Let the winds of change pick you up and take you on the voyage of your life. I’m leaving you now! Take care of yourself.” But as soon as the man left him, he removed his hand from his chin and stood up and said “I can’t end like this, I must fulfill my purpose for existence.” My dear, are you like the depressed man in today’s story? Are you badly hit with misfortunes and heartbreak? Just know that, worry is not the solution. God is the answer to your problems. Seek His help and mercy and He will deliver you from all your fears. Stop worrying (Philippians 4:6-7) Worry doesn’t see solutions, all it sees is problems. Worry magnifies problems and fuel the spirit of fear. My dear, resist the spirit of worry, because worry undermines the power of God and His ability to help you. Surely, he who worries will be too blind to see God; for worry blurs spiritual vision. Therefore, put aside your worries and fears and put your trust in the living God. Be wise!

EVENING

TOPIC : A BASELESS ARGUMENT

Monday, April 22, 2019

Bible Verse : Woe unto him that strives with his Maker… Shall the clay say to him that fashions it, What make you? or your work, He has no hands? Isaiah 45:9

LISTEN : It is baseless, shameful, disrespectful and a display of insanity to quarrel with God your creator. What is man to murmur and query God about how He created us. Rather than complain about your inabilities or deficiencies, why not focus on what you can do to improve on your life. Arguing and blaming God for anything or everything is a dangerous thing to do. Our Bible verse says, “Woe unto him that strives with his Maker!…” (Isaiah 45:9). The New Living Translation of the Bible puts it this way, “What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator. Does a clay pot argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying, ‘Stop, you’re doing it wrong!’ Does the pot exclaim, ‘How clumsy can you be?’” Beloved, you are not a mistake. Your condition cannot hinder you either. Just make up your mind to be useful. If there is a willing heart, no matter your condition, you can achieve what many people cannot achieve in their completeness. So, stop making your life miserable, and never put up a baseless argument against God. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, help me to not murmur or argue with you about what you have done, or doing in my life, amen.
